Board of Directors Election

Interested in being a part of the continued growth and development of disc golf in Northern Colorado? Then join us on the NoCo Disc Golf board of directors! Nominations are open as of today and will be accepted via email until Sunday Jan 10th. Polls then will open Monday Jan 11th and close at midnight Sunday Jan. 17th. To be elgible for a director's seat, your club membership must have been current as of Nov. 10th — the date voter registration closed for 2015. To indicate your intention to run, send an email to elections@nocodiscgolf.com with a short blurb (5-10 sentences) about why you'd be great for the leadership team and we'll add you to the ballot.

This year the club is transitioning to a new leadership term format: we'll continue with a seven-member board but now each elected director will serve for a two year term. No term limits apply at this time. In odd years, three board members will be up for election, in even years four seats will become available. So, for this year (2015) we'll have a maximum of three seats open. Effective in 2016, elections will be held each September, with terms beginning and ending then as well.

As has been our process for a few years now, we will continue to elect board members "at large", or independently of their eventual role, then allow the board to determine as a group the most suitable roles for each individual (ie. president, vice president, treasurer, etc).

As disc golf continues its rapid expansion, each year holds new and exciting chances to help grow and sustain the disc golf scene in Fort Collins and the rest of Northern Colorado! We hope you'll consider joining us for the ride.
