As some may already know, we have a new disc golf course in Northern Colorado, located in the Oxbow Natural Area of Eastman Park, in Windsor, CO. This 12 hole course is a collaborative project between the Town of Windsor and the dedicated volunteers in the local disc golf scene, made possible by many generous donations from the surrounding communities.
The course is open for play, and baskets are in place, but many features are still in the works. Currently, the tee sign posts are installed and numbered, and soon the signs themselves will be finished. Plans are in the works for a welcome board to house the course map, announcements, etc.
Being in a natural area, it is very important that visitors respect the land and the natural features of the course. Tread lightly, and please avoid, as best you can, causing any damage to your surroundings. Intentional breakage of vegetation is not allowed, and should be actively discouraged if encountered.
We'd like to give a big "thank you" to all those who contributed in their own way to making this great new course a reality! A special thanks goes out to Shawn Aschliman, who was not only the original inspiration for the project, but the primary motivator and organizer of the effort. Thanks Shawn!
